It seems like we have turned a corner the past week or so with true spring weather that is bringing us closer every day to what promises to be another great North Dakota summer. Nearly every summer a trip to Medora seems to be part of our plans, and this year we have another great reason to make a visit.
From Memorial Day through Labor Day, an artist is invited to have a display at the Harold Schafer Heritage Center Gallery in Medora. This year the photography of one of North Dakota Horizons' great friends will be featured. David Nix has been a frequent contributor to our magazine and, especially our calendar. His "Badlands at Sunrise" was the cover photo of our 2006 North Dakota Horizons calendar, which also included for January this "Bison in the Snow." Both are shown below.
It's no secret that Dave loves to photograph the Badlands, but he and his camera get around the entire state, as well as other parts of the country. I know his exhibit of 27 seasonal photos in Medora this summer will be well worth the stop, and I am looking forward to taking it in!
Congratulations, Dave, and we look forward to seeing much more of your work in future issues of North Dakota Horizons!
